As part of the "Dreams, Ideas, and Sustainability according to Sufficiency Economy Philosophy" class, taught by David Galipeau, we took students to Indorama Ventures PCL on 26 March 2025. There, they learned about sustainable business models, circular economies, resource efficiency, natural system regeneration, waste reduction, sustainable supply chains, branding partnerships, and the integration of digital technologies and data.
A special thanks to Anthony M. Watanabe, Chief Sustainability Officer at Indorama, and Jan Olesen, Global Head of Digital Business Solutions (VP), for their warm welcome and insightful knowledge-sharing sessions on sustainability, digital transformation, and AI.
We’re confident this visit provided valuable learning for our students, as it directly aligns with their final project—identifying challenges or opportunities where sustainable innovation, paired with an effective business model, can drive meaningful success.
