On 22 July, students took part in a Masterclass on "Stakeholder Management: Building Support for Great Ideas", delivered by Tjakko Dijk, Founder & Managing Director of The Water Taxi Company.

Drawing on his extensive experience in business leadership, governance, and strategic partnerships, Tjakko introduced students to the principles of effective stakeholder management. The session explored how organisations identify key stakeholders, build trust, navigate competing interests, and communicate ideas in ways that inspire support and collaboration.

Students also examined how stakeholder management plays a vital role in addressing real-world challenges, with discussions covering sustainability, urban planning, future mobility, and the development of smart cities.

The masterclass provided valuable insights into how strong stakeholder relationships contribute to successful projects and organisations, while encouraging students to think about how these skills can support their own future careers.
