Global Academy Water Festival 2026
Apr 09, 2026
This year’s water festival celebration was a memorable evening full of tradition, fun, and laughter. After a long day of classes, it was the perfect chance for students to relax, connect, and enjoy the festive spirit of the festival.

The evening started with the Rod Nam Dam Hua (รดน้ำดำหัว) ceremony. Students took turns gently pouring scented water over Dr. Ram’s hands as a way of showing respect and receiving blessings. It was a calm, meaningful moment that let everyone experience the cultural side of the event.

Next came a hands-on food activity. Students worked together preparing and tasting traditional Burmese treats, floating rice ball, laughing and chatting along the way. Traditional dishes like Burmese vermicelli soup and Thai mango sticky rice were also presented. The activity was as much about connecting with each other as it was about the food, giving everyone a chance to enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The evening ended with everyone’s favorite part. Water-splashing! Water guns came out, and students joined in playful water fights, running around, laughing, and getting soaked. Even those who were a bit hesitant at first soon joined in, embracing the fun and carefree side of the water festival!

It was a wonderful mix of meaningful tradition and pure fun. From the Rod Nam Dam Hua ceremony to the food activity and lively water games, the celebration brought the campus community together and made for a truly memorable evening.💦
