University of East Anglia Delegation Visits Thailand

Last week, Nurture Higher Education's Global Academy welcomed delegates from the University of East Anglia (UEA) during their visit to Thailand, with activities taking place at Saint Louis College and Global Academy at Siam University.

The visit began with two interactive workshops at Saint Louis College on 22 and 23 July 2026, where more than 100 nurses and healthcare professionals participated in professional development sessions. Prof. Kathryn Mares, Associate Professor of Physiotherapy, led the workshop on "Promoting Physical Health & Well-being within Healthcare Services", while Prof. Christopher Burton, Dean of Health Sciences, delivered "Implementing Evidence for Positive Public Health". The workshops were supported by Prof. Sian Coker, Associate Dean Internationalisation, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and Stefan Deniel-Culshaw, Associate Tutor, School of Health Sciences.

The week concluded with a roundtable discussion on "Public Health Challenges in Mega Cities" at Global Academy at Siam University. Moderated by Stephen Healy, Founder and President of Nurture Higher Education Group, the discussion brought together leading academics, researchers, and policymakers to exchange perspectives on the public health challenges facing rapidly growing urban centres.

• Dr. Pornchai Mongkhonvanit, President of Siam University

The visit highlighted the value of international collaboration in education, healthcare, and research while strengthening the partnership between the University of East Anglia, Nurture Higher Education, and our academic partners in Thailand.
